Crypto pokies banking is a collection of different payment options, not one interchangeable method. Bitcoin, Ether, stablecoins and other assets can have different deposit minimums, supported networks, fees and payout arrangements. This guide compares the published casino listings, explains the checks that identify a compatible payment, and separates cryptocurrency in a wallet from the balance recorded by a casino.
Published crypto banking options at a glance
The public Fair Go and Ozwin banking pages list different selections of crypto methods. The comparison below uses their named entries. It does not infer support for additional tokens, networks or withdrawal methods from a general cryptocurrency logo.

Public listings checked on 22 October 2026. Dollar figures are displayed operator amounts, not fixed quantities of cryptocurrency. Confirm the account currency, method availability and current conditions. No test transactions were made.
Both public withdrawal lists name Bitcoin. Those listings do not establish withdrawals in every deposited asset. Network charges, wallet fees and account review can apply independently of an operator’s deposit advertisement.
Identify the asset, network and recipient separately
Asset
The actual coin or token being transferred, such as BTC, ETH or a particular stablecoin. Similar names and symbols do not establish that two assets are the same.
Network
The blockchain or payment system carrying it. A token can exist on multiple networks, while the recipient may support only a particular version.
Recipient
The destination and payment reference recognised by the receiving service. A correctly formatted address is not proof that the recipient will credit that asset on that network.
All three details matter together. A wallet supporting a token does not prove that a casino supports it, and a casino naming a token does not confirm every network shown in the wallet. The final question is whether both services support the same payment arrangement.
For a support enquiry, state the complete combination rather than asking whether a brand “accepts crypto”. A precise description avoids answers that refer to another coin or a different account region.
Ether is not every token on Ethereum
Ether, normally shown as ETH, is Ethereum’s native asset. Tokens using Ethereum are separate assets with their own contracts. A published Ether deposit entry should not be expanded into acceptance of every ERC-20 token or a wrapped version of another coin.
The ERC-20 standard describes how token contracts expose balances and transfers. It is a technical standard, not a promise that every merchant has integrated every compliant token. The token name alone is also insufficient to distinguish a genuine asset from an imitation using a similar label.
Where a token payment is actually supported, its network and asset identifier need to match the recipient’s instructions. Do not substitute the token contract address for a personal payment destination: they identify different things. If the service only says “Ether”, request clarification before interpreting that as stablecoin support.
Tether support needs an exact protocol
Tether’s supported-protocol directory shows that its tokens exist across several blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron. The issuer’s wider network support does not establish which version a particular casino or payment processor accepts.
Fair Go’s public Tether row names a method and minimum but does not establish an exact supported protocol in the banking list reviewed here. This page consequently does not label it ERC-20, TRC-20 or another network without further evidence.
A cheaper withdrawal option in an exchange menu is not automatically a compatible option for the recipient. Likewise, an old review can describe an integration that has changed. Keep the provider’s current, account-specific answer with the transaction records, including the asset and network it actually names.
A dollar stablecoin is not necessarily an Australian dollar
A stablecoin aims to track a reference value. ASIC’s Moneysmart explanation makes clear that the reference can be a currency or another asset. The label does not mean every stablecoin represents AUD, nor does it remove the risks of the asset or its provider.
For a token referencing the US dollar, the Australian-dollar value can change as the AUD/USD rate changes, even if the token remains close to its intended US-dollar value. A market price, a provider’s conversion rate and an issuer’s redemption terms are also separate questions.
Do not record 25 tokens simply as “$25” without naming the unit. That omission makes it difficult to compare an original payment, a casino credit and a later payout. A stablecoin balance should not be described as a protected Australian bank deposit merely because its name includes “dollar”.
Worked example: token value and conversion costs
Illustration only: invented rates, not a live quote
Suppose 25 units of a hypothetical dollar-linked token are valued at AUD $1.50 each. Their value is AUD $37.50. If a hypothetical provider deducts an AUD $2 conversion fee, the resulting amount is AUD $35.50. At a later invented rate of AUD $1.40 per token, those same 25 units are worth AUD $35 before that fee, or AUD $33 after it.
The token quantity did not change in this example. The Australian-dollar result changed because the assumed conversion rate changed. The fee then changed the net amount again. Neither result says anything about gambling winnings or the return a token might produce.
For an actual query, retain the timestamp, quoted rate, asset quantity, fee and credited currency. Comparing two amounts captured at different times without those details can make an ordinary conversion difference look like missing money.
Gas, withdrawal charges and spreads are different costs
Ethereum’s gas-fee guide explains that network fees are paid in ETH and vary with network activity and the work performed. Holding an ERC-20 token does not mean that its balance automatically supplies the ETH needed by a self-custody account to pay Ethereum gas.
A custodial service can package its charges differently. Its quoted withdrawal fee may not match the raw network fee, and conversion can include a spread as well as an explicit charge. Read what the individual service is charging rather than assuming every number labelled “fee” belongs to the blockchain.
Compare the amount debited, the amount transferred and the amount credited. A no-fee casino row concerns the operator’s published charge; it does not cancel an exchange withdrawal fee, network charge or later conversion cost. An apparent saving on one stage can be outweighed by another stage.
Network compatibility cannot be judged from the address alone
Some blockchain systems use similar address formats. Recognising the format, or seeing the same address in more than one wallet view, does not establish that the receiving service monitors the network used. Its supported assets and networks remain decisive.
Bridging introduces another operation with its own risks. Ethereum’s bridge documentation explains that bridges can involve smart-contract, technical and custodial risks. A bridged representation should not be assumed equivalent to the asset version a cashier supports.
This comparison does not recommend a bridge, swap route or alternative chain to work around a payment restriction. If the recipient has not confirmed the exact asset and network, a lower advertised fee elsewhere does not resolve the compatibility question.
Deposit assets and payout assets may differ
A list of six deposit methods is not a list of six withdrawal methods. The public withdrawal evidence in the comparison establishes a Bitcoin entry. It does not establish Ether, Tether, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash or Lightning payouts merely because those names appear among deposits.
The casino ledger also matters. A dollar-denominated account can involve conversion on receipt and another conversion on payout. Without the actual conditions, it would be misleading to promise that a person receives the same number of coins they originally transferred.
For an existing withdrawal request, ask which asset and network will be used, which currency determines the amount, what limit applies and when any conversion is fixed. The Bitcoin guide covers that method’s published figures; the withdrawals guide covers the wider approval process.
Payment minimums do not establish bonus eligibility
A cashier minimum describes a payment method. An offer can have separate requirements covering eligible deposits, minimum amounts, currencies, codes and wagering. A small permitted payment is not evidence that it qualifies for a welcome or reload offer.
Check the terms of the specific promotion rather than inferring a universal crypto rule. Record whether the conditions refer to the amount sent, the amount credited after conversion, or another defined amount. Where that distinction is unclear, an answer naming the offer is more useful than a generic assurance about cryptocurrency.
Our bonus hub and wagering comparison explain the relevant terms. This banking table makes no claim that a particular crypto method guarantees a bonus or changes a game’s payout percentage.
A network transaction and a casino credit are separate records
A payment can pass through a provider queue, the relevant network and the recipient’s accounting system. A casino review can also precede a withdrawal being sent. There is no useful universal delivery time covering every asset and every stage.
Ethereum’s transaction documentation distinguishes transaction instructions, fees and network inclusion. For a token, the transfer details also need to identify the correct asset and recipient; a transaction hash alone is not a description of what a casino credited.
Ask what “completed” means on the screen being quoted. It could describe a provider’s internal request rather than the final recipient credit. For an already sent payment, establish the remaining stage before interpreting a delay as a reason to repeat it.
Build a useful record for a missing crypto payment
- Name the asset and network: include the token identifier where relevant, not just its display symbol.
- Retain the original request: save its account reference, amount, denomination and expiry information.
- Keep the payment reference: distinguish a provider’s internal withdrawal ID from a public network transaction hash.
- Separate charges: record the total debit, fee and recipient amount.
- Record the expected credit: identify the casino account currency and the conversion quote used.
This allows support to investigate a specific mismatch. For example, evidence that a token arrived on one network does not prove that it arrived on the network supported by the recipient. A correct amount sent to the wrong destination is a different problem again.
Keep private account information in the provider’s genuine support channel. Public screenshots can expose addresses, balances and account details without helping the right team reconcile the payment.
Custody, verification and wallet approvals
A wallet application and an exchange account are different arrangements. Ethereum’s wallet explanation distinguishes the account, address and keys, while noting that centralised exchanges hold assets on a customer’s behalf. A provider’s withdrawal controls do not disappear because the customer can see a crypto balance.
Casinos and payment providers can also have separate identity checks and restrictions. Verification with one does not complete verification with the other. If a provider blocks a destination or transaction type, ask it to explain its terms rather than attempting to conceal the purpose through extra accounts.
Read wallet-signing requests carefully. A token spending approval is not the same action as viewing a public address. Ethereum’s security guidance discusses the danger of broad contract permissions. Do not sign an unexplained approval simply because a page describes it as verification.
Recovery is not guaranteed by a transaction hash
A network record can establish that a transfer occurred, but it cannot compel a recipient to return funds or make an unsupported asset appear in a casino account. Ask the receiving provider whether it can investigate; do not assume a recovery option exists.
A genuine support enquiry needs relevant records, not a recovery phrase or private key. Someone demanding those secrets, remote control of the device or an unexplained “release payment” creates another risk. Claims of guaranteed recovery should not be treated as proof of authority.
A refund can also be a new payment with a new asset quantity, fee or conversion rate. Keep its reference separately from the original transaction. The fact that a case has been marked resolved internally does not substitute for checking the actual amount returned.
Australian records, rules and support
The ATO’s crypto-record guidance includes transaction dates, purposes, exchange records and Australian-dollar values. Keep these alongside wallet and casino records. Personal spending is not a reason to assume that every crypto disposal has the same tax treatment.
Crypto acceptance is not Australian gambling authorisation. ACMA identifies online pokies and casino-style games among illegal online services offered to Australians; its operator-risk guidance explains the risks of blocked access and difficulty recovering funds.
Allow for fees and exchange-rate movements when reviewing spending. Australia’s National Gambling Helpline is 1800 858 858, available confidentially 24/7 according to Australian Government support information. Our responsible gambling page collects further help, and the banking hub links to the individual method guides.
Crypto pokies banking FAQs
Which crypto deposit methods are listed in the comparison?
Fair Go publicly lists Bitcoin, Ether, Tether, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Lightning Bitcoin. Ozwin lists Bitcoin, Ether and Lightning Bitcoin in the banking page checked. These are public method listings reviewed on 22 October 2026, not test transactions or guarantees of account eligibility. Exact token networks still need confirmation; a method name alone does not establish every supported protocol.
Does a Tether listing confirm ERC-20 or TRC-20 support?
No. Tether exists on multiple blockchains, and the recipient must support the particular asset and protocol used. Fair Go’s public banking row did not establish an exact protocol for this comparison. Do not select a network just because it is cheaper or appears in an exchange menu. Obtain a current answer naming the asset and network rather than relying on a general token logo.
Can every deposited cryptocurrency also be withdrawn?
That has not been established. Both public withdrawal lists name Bitcoin, but their deposit lists contain additional methods. Deposit support should not be expanded into a promise of matching payouts. For an existing withdrawal, establish the payout asset, network, account currency, applicable limit and conversion timing. A cryptocurrency deposit does not prove that the casino ledger holds the same asset.
Why might an Ethereum token balance not cover the gas fee?
Ethereum network fees are paid in ETH. A self-custody account holding an ERC-20 token can therefore have a token balance without the separate ETH required for gas. A custodial service may quote its own withdrawal charge differently. Check the actual provider quote and distinguish the fee asset, amount sent and recipient amount; the casino’s own fee advertisement does not cover every stage.
Does a dollar stablecoin have a fixed Australian-dollar value?
Not necessarily. A stablecoin aims to track a reference value, which may be the US dollar or another asset rather than AUD. Its Australian-dollar value can change with exchange rates, and provider fees can change the net amount received. Name the token and currency in records. The word dollar does not make a token a protected Australian bank deposit or guarantee its market price.
What records help investigate a missing token payment?
Keep the asset name, network, relevant token identifier, recipient, amount, currency, date and payment reference. Separate a provider’s internal withdrawal ID from a public network transaction hash, and retain the original request and conversion quote. Use genuine support channels. Recovery phrases and private keys are not investigation documents, and a visible transaction does not guarantee that an unsupported-network payment can be recovered.
