On this page
This policy describes the standards for information published on pokieonline.net. Jordyn Beazley is the editor responsible for editorial enquiries and correction reports.
Make the subject and its limits clear
A page should answer the question in its title. A guide to a game feature should explain how that feature works; a banking page should distinguish the method’s general operation from confirmed support at a particular service. We do not describe a casino promotion as a game rule or a payment option as a guarantee that withdrawals use the same route.
Use sources that support the actual claim
We favour original material: game help files and provider documentation for game rules, the operator’s current terms for an offer, the payment provider’s own information for a payment feature, and official regulators for regulatory statements. A source should support the specific claim being made, including important restrictions.
A promotional headline alone does not establish eligibility, a withdrawal limit or the complete wagering requirement. Where available information is incomplete or inconsistent, the page should describe that uncertainty rather than supply an invented figure. Search snippets and another affiliate site are not substitutes for the underlying source.
Distinguish checking from personal testing
Reading an offer page is a documentation check. It is not evidence that we deposited, played, completed identity verification or withdrew money. A statement about firsthand testing must explain what was tested and any relevant limits. An editor byline identifies responsibility for the page, rather than certifying a universal testing history.
Explain examples and calculations
Hypothetical examples should be labelled and use stated inputs. A long-run theoretical return is different from the observed return in a short session. A wagering calculation shows a turnover requirement under its chosen assumptions; it does not show the money a player will necessarily recover.
Calculated outputs should be checked against the inputs, units and rounding rules. If a room, game or bonus uses a different basis, readers need that distinction. We should not present a precise-looking number when the information required to calculate it is missing.
Commercial links and comparisons
Affiliate relationships may affect the services available for inclusion, placement and commercial presentation. These relationships are explained in the affiliate disclosure. They do not justify fabricated terms, unsupported safety claims, fake player experiences or promises about withdrawals.
Descriptions such as “best”, “fast” or “low” need a stated basis in the relevant page. An operator should not receive a factual endorsement merely because a tracking link is available. Our coverage is not a complete register of every service.
Dates and corrections
The updated date reflects when the page was modified. It does not imply every linked service was rechecked that day. We do not change dates simply to imply fresh research. When a material error is confirmed, the relevant wording, examples and saved data should be corrected together.
Send a correction to Jordyn.Beazley@pokieonline.net with the page address, the disputed wording and a public source where possible. We assess the substance of a report and may need more detail before making a change. The contact page explains what to include without exposing private account information.
